Would you like to learn to cycle or feel safer on the road? Do you need training in other languages and information about traffic rules? Would you like to test pedelecs, cargo bikes or e-scooters and ride them safely? Are you looking for training for yourself or your children? You'll find it all in Aachen!

Bike training for adults and children, unsafe cyclists and beginners, safety training for e-bikes, cargo bike training and training for new residents.

The most important rules for everyone on the road (including cyclists) together with a free app in 14 languages.

Road safety

It is not always necessary to own your own means of transportation. You can enjoy the benefits of sharing and save a lot of money in the process.

Bike sharing in Aachen is station-based. E-bikes can be returned at any station with a free slot. Booking via the movA app and the provider's app.

Cargo bike rental

In Aachen, you can borrow over 20 e-cargo bikes free of charge. Register online and book the cargo bikes via the evemo app. The cargo bikes must be returned to the same station.

E-scooter

Simply book the e-scooters via the apps (Mova, Dott, RideMovi, Voi). Please observe the parking zones and keep the sidewalks free of barriers for other people.

Car sharing

Car-Sharing in Aachen is station-based and the cars should be brought to the same station. Register online and book the cars through Cambio App or movA App. There are special offers for many like students.

Bicycle parking

Park your bike safely in Aachen. In addition to the bicycle hangers, Bike&Ride facilities and some parking garages, the bike stations offer covered and locked bicycle parking spaces.

Repair your bike

You can carry out small repairs yourself at free Redservice stations in the city or have your bike repaired at the bike station.

Special rules apply to taking bicycles on buses and trains.

In the city of Aachen, many supply lines (electricity, water, gas and sewers) are many decades old. Many of them need to be fundamentally renewed in stages. In addition, there are construction sites that suddenly arise because supply lines or sewers break. And finally, high-performance fiber optic cables are being laid for fast telephone and internet communication and the district heating network is being expanded over a wide area. All this work on the infrastructure means that there are many construction sites in the city.
