Rolandstraße/Krefelder Straße: Interested parties can participate
The Rolandstraße/Krefelder Straße axis is part of the Aachen-Berensberg priority cycle route in the section between the "Bastei" junction and Soerser Weg. Cycle traffic is to be routed particularly safely and comfortably here in future. As part of this, additional traffic lights are to be installed at Elsa-Brändström-Straße.
The city of Aachen is presenting its current plans for redesigning the streetscape to interested parties. The Mobility Committee decided on the participation process on December 18, 2025.
A participation event will take place on Tuesday, February 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Eurogress, Monheimsallee 48, in Aachen. The rooms are barrier-free.
The planning documents are on display at two locations until March 10. On the one hand, they can be accessed online via the following short link: www.aachen.de/rolandstrasse. Secondly, they can be found in the foyer of the administration building at Am Marschiertor, Lagerhausstraße 20. The building is open from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
Anyone with questions, comments or suggestions can contact the City of Aachen in various ways until March 10. By email to rolandstrasse@mail.aachen.de, in writing via the letterbox in the foyer of the Lagerhausstraße administration building and via the "Participation NRW" internet portal.
