The KunstHierHer (KHH) exhibition series will take place at the Nadelfabrik over the weekend of October 2–4. The City of Aachen, together with the artists, invites you to rediscover familiar places and immerse yourself in the diverse stories that art can tell.

This year, the exhibition focuses on the works of Heidi Sträterhoff, Andreas Herrmann, KPLX, and Susanne Patzke. The exhibition will be open on Friday, October 2, from 5 to 9 p.m., on Saturday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the seminar rooms (Entrance 3, 1st floor) of the Nadelfabrik. Admission is free.

Sculptor Heidi Sträterhoff has been working with stone and wood for many years. In these natural materials, she discovers hidden forms and stories that she seeks to bring to light. Her sculptures allow the unique qualities of the material to speak for themselves, while also demonstrating her creative engagement with its structure, character, and expressive power.

Andreas Herrmann studied architecture and art in Aachen and has been working as a freelance photographer since 1980. His photographs are characterized by a keen eye for structures, spaces, and situations. In doing so, he combines the sensitivity of an artist with the attentiveness of an observer, opening up new perspectives on reality.

Kritzelkomplex, or KPLX for short, is René Engels’ illustration project. His works are created using traditional methods—pencil and ink—and range from atmospheric, conceptual illustrations and urban sketches to webcomic projects such as *Space Cop Diary*. He initially published his drawings on his own website and on social media. Today, his hand-drawn works reach an international audience.

Susanne Patzke’s art moves between observation and imagination. The paintings—her preferred format is the square—not only depict people, for example, while reading, but also reveal how thoughts wander, memories are formed, and stories can alter reality. The works encourage viewers to let their own thoughts wander. At times, she invites visitors to get creative themselves.

Since 2016, the Nadelfabrik has hosted an annual exhibition featuring artists who explore perception, memory, nature, and human experience in various ways. For more information, visit www.kunsthierher.de.
