Fee for Residents
: Starting in May 2025, the annual fee for resident parking permits will be calculated based on the area a vehicle occupies on the street—that is, its length and width. A fee of 30 euros is charged for each square meter occupied. In addition, there is an administrative fee of 15 euros for the application. It is also possible to apply for parking permits valid for three or six months.
Parking Fees for Everyone Else
: All other drivers must purchase a parking ticket from a parking meter or book one through the Easypark mobile app. Parking is subject to a fee during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A parking fee of at least one euro must be paid. This allows the vehicle to be parked for up to 40 minutes.
The political bodies of the City of Aachen—the Aachen-Mitte District Council and the Mobility Committee—approved the BU 5 resident parking zone on April 30 and May 15, 2025.
