The final expansion of the roads in the Brand business park is entering the next phase. From February 23, the intersection of Gewerbepark Brand/Nordstraße/Brander Heide and the intersection of Nordstraße/Eilendorfer Straße/Sigsfeldstraße will be rebuilt. At the same time, the section of road between the junction with the Brand business park on Nordstraße and the business with house number 84 will be redesigned.

The construction work is expected to last until July 2026 and is only possible with full road closures for all types of traffic. This means that Nordstrasse will no longer be passable throughout the next few months and the business park will no longer be accessible via Nordstrasse. From February 23, access to the Brand business park will only be possible for motor vehicles via the access road on Debyestraße. The detour routes are signposted.

Pedestrian traffic will be diverted via the An der alten Ziegelei footpath and cycle path, Erftstraße and Hermann-Löns-Straße to Eilendorfer Straße and from there to Nordstraße. Bicycle traffic will be diverted via Vennbahnweg.

The final expansion in the Brand business park began in mid-January 2026, initially on the road section in the business park (house numbers 49 to 80). The work on one side of this section of road will be largely completed by February 23. Over the next few weeks, a sidewalk will be laid on the opposite side. The carriageway on this section and on the other redesigned sections will not be finally asphalted until a later date.

The businesses directly affected by the full closures will remain accessible after consultation with the site management.

As soon as all the work is completed in summer 2026, the public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parking spaces, lanterns) in the Brand business park will be well developed and usable all around.
