The City of Aachen has been able to set up another date for voting on site at short notice. Citizens who are not in Aachen on election day can now vote directly on site at the electoral office at Blücherplatz 43 or in their respective district offices from September 19 until September 26.

The electoral office will be open on Friday, September 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., from September 22 to 26 extended opening hours will apply from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Wednesday the electoral office will even be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.. The district offices can also be reached by voters during their regular opening hours from September 19 to 26.

On September 28, the polling stations for the run-off election for Lord Mayor and City Councillor will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

A new polling card is not required for the run-off election at the polling station. You can vote at your polling station with your existing polling card or by presenting an identity card.

Anyone who applied for postal voting for both (!) local elections will automatically receive their postal voting documents, so they do not need to apply for new ones.
