Regionetz will be expanding its district heating network on Roermonder Straße and renewing the supply lines there. The civil engineering work is expected to begin in 2027 on the section between the junction at Ponttor and the start of Kohlscheider Straße. The city administration is currently planning the existing road space and developing various concepts for the future design.

The city will present its current plans for Roermonder Strasse in a public consultation. It will take on board the suggestions and comments from the public, examine them and incorporate them into the further planning and consultation process.

The information and participation event will take place on Wednesday, November 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Generali-Saal in Super C of the RWTH, Templergraben 57 in Aachen.
