"Manni der Huusmeäster": Successful premiere leads to a sequel

In July and August 2025, there will be another chance to discover Aachen's city center with Manfred Savelsberg alias "Manni der Huusmeäster". For these two-hour city walks, the cabaret artist slips into his gray smock and thus into his parade role as janitor in the town hall. He draws attention to the changes in the heart of our city and how the city administration and city society are working together to make the city center even more liveable. Under the motto "Hand in hand through change", the focus is on questions such as: Where and how is this cooperation already working well? Where do we still need time and creative ideas?

The additional city walks will take place on Tuesday, July 8, Thursday, July 17, Friday, July 25, and Tuesday, August 5, from 5.30 to 7.30 pm. "It's really nice to see how much interest there is in the city walks and how positively our joint efforts to change the city center are being received," says Mayor Sibylle Keupen happily. "That shows: When committed citizens and an energetic city administration work together, a lot of good things can happen." Finally, on August 5, she and "Manni" will give a tour of Aachen's city life. She invites all participants to a direct exchange and constructive discussions about the future of Aachen.

Participation in the city walks is free of charge. Due to the limited number of 30 places per tour, please register via the City of Aachen's participation portal: https://beteiligung.nrw.de/portal/aachen If you have any questions, please call Silke Ulrich (0241 432-7229).

Mayor Sibylle Keupen and Manfred Savelsberg, alias "Manni der Huusmeäster", show examples of successful cooperation between city society and city administration.
