Bismarckstraße: Rehmannstraße will be accessible again from August 2
The city's construction work on Bismarckstrasse is well on schedule. The first section at the junction of Bismarckstrasse, Schlossstrasse and Rehmannstrasse is largely complete. The barriers at the junction will be removed next weekend. Rehmannstrasse will be accessible to motor vehicles again without obstacles from August 2.
The signage at the redesigned junction will initially be temporary. It should be noted that the priority rules at this junction will change. The red marked lane in combination with the signage shows who has right of way at this junction in future: traffic coming from Schlossstrasse into Bismarckstrasse. From now on, vehicles leaving Rehmannstrasse and Bismarckstrasse from the direction of Moltkestrasse will have to wait. A special embossed asphalt at the junction further highlights the new traffic situation.
A new green area was created on the Frankenberger Park side. In addition, some new natural stone blocks were placed on which additional seating was installed.
Construction work on Bismarckstrasse will be suspended from August 4 to 22. The construction company is on vacation. After that, the construction work on Bismarckstraße will continue at full speed in the next construction phase up to Goffartstraße.
