Aachen Eilendorf: New arbitrator wanted
The City of Aachen is still looking for a new arbitrator for the arbitration district II Aachen-Eilendorf. Citizens can turn to this person to settle disputes.
The City of Aachen asks interested persons who meet the requirements to apply informally, but in writing, stating their personal details (surname, possibly maiden name, first name, place of birth, date of birth, occupation, address, e-mail address and telephone number). Applications should be sent to the city's Department of Law and Insurance, Aureliusstraße 2, 52058 Aachen. The application can also be sent by e-mail to rechtsamt@mail.aachen.de. The application deadline is January 31.
To become an arbitrator for a district, you must be resident in the respective arbitration district. The person must also have reached the age of 25, but not yet 75. Further requirements are: The person must not be under guardianship, must not be restricted in the disposal of their assets by court order and must be able to hold public office. The arbitrators hold an honorary office. No previous legal training is required. Successful arbitration also requires impartiality, empathy and negotiating skills. The relevant district council elects the arbitrator for a period of five years before the Aachen district court formally confirms them.
