The roads in the Brand business park that have not yet been completed and the junction at Nordstrasse will be finally upgraded and rebuilt in several construction phases from January 5, 2026. The work is highly dependent on the weather and is expected to last until July 2026.

The final expansion in the Brand business park will initially begin on the section of road with house numbers 49 to 80. From February 2026, the conversion of the junction Gewerbepark Brand/Nordstraße/Brander Heide and the partial conversion of the junction Nordstraße/Eilendorfer Straße/Sigsfeldstraße will follow. The section between the junction of Gewerbepark/Nordstraße and the building with house number 84 in the Gewerbepark will take place in parallel with the redesign of the junction.

The construction work will be carried out in all large construction areas with full road closures for all types of traffic. During the construction period, motor vehicle traffic will only be able to access the business park via the access road on Debyestraße. Residential and commercial traffic will be permitted as required.

Pedestrian traffic will be diverted via the An der alten Ziegelei footpath and cycle path, Erftstraße and Hermann-Löns-Straße to Eilendorfer Straße and from there to Nordstraße. A detour will be signposted for cycle traffic via Vennbahnweg.

The City of Aachen will work with the construction company to minimize the disruption caused by the construction work as much as possible. For residents directly affected by the road closures, delivery and operational traffic will continue to be guaranteed.

Once all the work has been completed in summer 2026, the public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, lanterns) in the Brand business park will be well developed and usable all around.
