With the "Long Table of Diversity", the city of Aachen invites all citizens to celebrate Aachen's colorful and committed urban society, diversity and cosmopolitanism together on Saturday, August 30. Following the great success of previous years, a place for encounters and exchange, for respectful coexistence, lived diversity and social cohesion will once again be created right in the heart of Aachen.

The event brings together people of all generations, cultures and backgrounds - for a large city picnic with music, discussions, information stands and a variety of encounters. The Katschhof will once again become a place of encounter, exchange and participation right in the heart of Aachen.

Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen is also delighted about the renewed appreciation of diversity in Aachen: "In the city of Aachen, the focus is on togetherness. The Lange Tafel is a wonderful festival that celebrates this diversity and brings people from all backgrounds together."

The varied stage program begins at 12 noon. Highlights include the inclusive band NeonGrau52, Daisy Grow Yellow, Rock Spot, DJ Yomoko and The Quicksteps.

The "Long Table of Diversity" is embedded in the "Festival of Diversity 2025", which offers a particularly varied program this year. In addition to the "Long Table", this includes the ceremonial presentation of the "Diversity Award" by the Integration Council. Once again this year, outstanding award winners will be honored for their commitment. For the first time, the award ceremony will take place directly on the Katschhof stage.

Participate and experience encounters

This year, many associations, organizations and initiatives that are committed to diversity, participation, equal opportunities and the promotion of democracy have once again been brought together. At the "Market of Diversity", visitors will have the opportunity to find out about and exchange ideas on various topics. In addition to the numerous information stands, there are also culinary highlights that invite you to picnic at the "Long Table". It is also possible to bring your own picnic. The table is set - come along.
