Housing in the eastern district: "Elsassstraße / Moscheeplatz" development plan on display

In Aachen's Ostviertel district, new housing and a daycare center are to be built on an area of around one hectare between Stolberger Strasse and Elsassstrasse. At least 40 percent of the apartments are to be publicly subsidized housing. The planning committee has decided to involve the public at an early stage. The "Elsassstraße / Moscheeplatz" development plan will be on display in the administration building on Lagerhausstraße from Monday, October 28 to Friday, November 29. There will also be a hearing on Thursday, November 14, 6 to 7 p.m., in the foyer of the Nadelfabrik, Reichsweg 30.

The urban design was developed from the competition "New Living in the Eastern Quarter". It is intended to complete the peripheral development on Moscheeplatz. The building structure is also intended to create a quiet, green inner courtyard with a pleasant atmosphere.

The documents can be found online at www.aachen.de/bauleitplanung. The B-Plan can be viewed in the foyer of the Am Marschiertor administration building at Lagerhausstraße 20 during the following opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays from 8 am to 6 pm, Fridays from 8 am to 3 pm.
