Paths to climate-neutral living: Participants from Aachen wanted for nationwide long-term study KliX³
Everyone can make a contribution to climate protection. But which measures are effective and which are suitable for individual and current life situations? The KliX³ project is conducting a nationwide long-term study on thecarbon footprint of private households in collaboration with the Federal Environment Agency and the University of Freiburg. Research is being conducted into how climate-neutral living can be achieved and what obstacles and successes can be seen in everyday life. "The KliX³ project not only helps to collect important and long-term research results. It offers all Aachen residents the opportunity to create their own individual climate plan, to find their way through the maze of climate protection measures and to critically review and evaluate their own actions time and again. Added value for both sides," says Heiko Thomas, Aachen's Councillor for Climate and Environment, City Operations and Buildings, with conviction.
