Occasion and goal
The interim station serves as a temporary solution until the new fourth fire and rescue station in Aachen is completed. The demountable container building, which was erected in one year, and the demountable lightweight hall are designed for a service life of eight years.

Description
Fire-resistant
containers generally do not have building authority approval for fire protection. The building authority agreed to allow this to be offset by a comprehensive fire alarm system, thereby making the project feasible.
Site
conditions that differed from those identified in preliminary surveys, as well as discrepancies between the actual layout of utilities and existing plans, resulted in delays and additional costs.
