Current

From January 2026, construction work will begin on the final road expansion in the Brand business park for the second and final construction phase. In the course of this measure, the intersection of Gewerbepark Brand / Nordstraße / Brander Heide will also be rebuilt. Construction is expected to take around 7 months.

Occasion and goal

In the Brand business park, which was initially developed as a business park in 2013 via construction roads, the sidewalks, access roads, tree planting, parking spaces and the roadway are now to be completed.

The final expansion will take place in two construction phases:

The first construction phase included almost all of the roads in the Brand business park in the area between the "Erdbeerfeld" junction and the property with house number 84 in the direction of Nordstraße. The work in this section was completed in December 2023.

The second construction phase, which is still outstanding, includes the remaining section of the Gewerbepark Brand road between property no. 84 and Nordstrasse as well as the intermediate section from the junction after house no. 49 to property no. 80. In the course of implementing this construction phase, the intersection of Nordstrasse, Gewerbepark Brand and Brander Heide will also be fundamentally redesigned.

Planning

The planning of the final road development in the Brand business park includes the construction of the sidewalks, access roads, tree planting, parking spaces and the lanes for motor vehicle traffic. In addition, the bicycle traffic routing through the industrial estate between the Vennbahnweg at Erdbeerfeld or Camp Pirotte and Nordstraße was included in the planning. Bicycle lanes are planned here in both directions to ensure the safety and continuity of bicycle traffic.
