Direct award of a public service contract (öDA) for bus transportation services effective with the timetable change in December 2027 within the city of Aachen and the Aachen metropolitan region
The City of Aachen and the Aachen Metropolitan Region intend to award a public service contract for the provision of road-based local public transportation services, effective as of the schedule change on December 10, 2027.
The proposed contract covers the integrated transit network of the City of Aachen and the Aachen Metropolitan Region, including cross-regional scheduled services coordinated with neighboring transit authorities. The basis for this is, in particular, the local transit plans of the City of Aachen and the Aachen Metropolitan Region.
The planned term of the public service contract is ten years, from December 10, 2027, to December 9, 2037. Subject to the statutory requirements, particularly with regard to investments in vehicles with alternative propulsion systems and the associated infrastructure, the contract may be extended for up to five years.
Applications for self-financed permits must relate to the total scope of work specified in the request for proposals and meet all established requirements.
