Mobility report
With the "Mobility Report", the city of Aachen takes a look at all relevant mobility topics - from walking, cycling, local public transport and motor vehicle traffic to innovative approaches such as sharing models and digitalization in mobility. It highlights the developments of the past year, describes current challenges and highlights prospects for the coming years. The aim is to make mobility issues in Aachen tangible for all citizens. It is aimed at anyone who wants to find out quickly and concisely about the status of the mobility transition.
2025
With the Mobility Report 2025, the City of Aachen is presenting its second report, which provides a comprehensive overview of the diverse activities, projects and developments in the field of mobility and transport. The report shows how mobility is evolving in Aachen, which measures have been implemented and which topics are currently in focus. The main theme of this year's report is "The goal firmly in sight". This refers to the consistent alignment of all measures with the city's long-term goals.

2024
In recent years, the City of Aachen has already devoted significant attention to a key aspect of mobility through the Activity Report on the Cycling Referendum and the 2023 Cycling Report. However, mobility in our city is about much more than just cycling. The 2024 Mobility Report provides, for the first time, a comprehensive overview of the diverse mobility issues in Aachen. Looking back on the year 2024, the report describes key measures designed to strengthen eco-friendly transportation (walking, cycling, and public transit). Sidewalks are being made more attractive to make walking in the city more enjoyable. When it comes to cycling, Aachen is also focusing on expanding safe routes and improving infrastructure. Despite the challenges posed by construction sites and infrastructure upgrades, the city is working to make public transit reliable and comfortable. This involves not only new vehicles but also accessible bus stops and improved bus service frequency.

Annual Mobility Dialogue 2026
The Annual Mobility Dialogue took place on March 17, 2026, from 5.30 - 7.00 p.m. at the Talstrasse depot.
With last year's Annual Mobility Dialogue, we established a new format that focuses on the entire spectrum of mobility development in Aachen. Once again this year, we wanted to look at completed and current projects as well as key developments in mobility in Aachen together with you. In addition, the results of the Citizens' Council, which deliberated on a mobility topic last year, were presented and space was provided for exchange and discussion.
