The mission statement for youth vocational assistance
Preamble
The mission statement for youth vocational assistance is part of the mission statement of the City of Aachen's Department for Children, Youth and Schools.
In accordance with Section 13 (1) SGB VIII, the City of Aachen's youth vocational assistance supports young people and young people with special needs in their integration into the world of work and offers socio-educational assistance in the transition from school to work in order to promote their school and vocational training, integration into the world of work and their social integration. These services are coordinated with the measures of the schools, the Federal Employment Agency, the providers of in-company and external training and the providers of employment services.
Our goals
- to enable young people to take responsibility for shaping their own lives and take on the challenges of the professional world
- to support young people in their individual development, taking into account their family and cultural background
- to enable young people to integrate professionally and socially through support
- to enable young people to acquire practical life and social skills that enable them to participate in our society in a self-determined way
- to protect young people from any experience of violence (§ 1 SGB VIII)
- to actively involve young people in processes and encourage them to help shape them
- empower young people to be mindful of themselves and others
