City Launches New Testing Weeks for Commuters
The city is launching new trial weeks for commuters. Anyone who hasn't yet had the chance can now try out buses and trains, electric cars, (speed) pedelecs, electric cargo bikes, electric scooters, or electric folding bikes.
As part of European Mobility Week, the city is offering trial weeks for residents with support from the “Clever mobil” program run by the City and Metropolitan Region of Aachen. The trial period begins on September 16 and runs through October 7, 2026. Anyone who would like to participate should register by Monday, September 14, via a booking portal. It can be accessed via the following link: https://mobilitaet.digital/clever-mobil/testwochen/. The access code is: EMW2026.
Those interested can try out buses, trains, and sharing services (car-sharing, Euregiobike, or e-scooters) using what’s known as a “mobility budget.” After registration, the credit is sent to the email address on file. The credit is redeemed via ASEAG’s movA app.

The “Clever mobil” program revolves entirely around the topic of corporate mobility management (CMM). Its primary focus is on supporting businesses and companies in the city and metropolitan region of Aachen in organizing sustainable, efficient, and healthy mobility for their employees.
