A Conversation at the Weekly Market: Mayor in the Spotlight
The weekly market is an important gathering place in the neighborhood and offers an opportunity to strike up conversations with one another. Mayor Dr. Michael Ziemons will take advantage of this setting on Saturday, November 7, to engage directly with the residents of Brand. From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., he will be at the weekly market on Marktplatz and looks forward to answering questions, hearing suggestions, and engaging in personal conversations.
Whether it’s issues affecting the Brand neighborhood, ideas for community life in the area, or concerns regarding the development of the city as a whole: All Aachen residents are invited to share their perspectives and engage in conversation with the mayor. Current projects and local political issues can also be discussed during the gathering at the market.
“Good urban development starts with listening to people and getting to know their perspectives. At the weekly market, we can easily strike up a conversation with one another—without a set appointment and without any major hurdles. I’m looking forward to finding out what issues are currently on people’s minds in Brand and what ideas they have for their neighborhood,” said the mayor.
No registration is required. Anyone interested can simply stop by during the weekly market and discuss their concerns directly.
