Pipe Break Repaired: Elisabethhalle to Reopen on Tuesday

Swimming at the Elisabethhalle will resume starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20. Due to a water main break on Hartmannstraße, the Elisabethhalle has been closed since the beginning of last week.

Student Days at the Elisabethhalle
The Student Days at the Elisabethhalle, which had to be postponed due to the unexpected closure, will now take place from October 20 through October 26, 2026. During this time, students can gain admission to this special swimming pool for just 1.00 euro during public swimming hours upon presentation of their student ID.

Up-to-date information on the swimming pools and their hours of operation: The City of Aachen’s Sports Department asks all visitors to check the City of Aachen’s sports portal at www.aachen.de/schwimmen before visiting any of the city’s indoor or outdoor swimming pools to ensure there are no restrictions or closures at the respective facilities.
