Öcher fiere met et Schängche Fastelovvend 2026: New Schängche fan merchandise is now available

On five evenings this carnival season, the Öcher Schängche puppet theater once again hosted "Öcher fiere met et Schängche Fastelovvend". Organized by the Förderkreis Öcher Schängche under the chairmanship of Otto Trebels and moderated by play director Hanna Birmans and Alexandra Renardy, there was a colourful programme of puppetry scenes and classic carnival in front of a sold-out audience.

This time the action took the puppets onto the "ADIEDA": After the city has built a navigable canal from the inner-city Pau and the Wurm, Captain Schängchen goes on a river cruise with the "ADIEDA". During the trip, the ship stops at a number of prominent points. The market, Hotmannspiif and Hansemann offer the opportunity to go ashore. Captain Schängchen and chief stewardess Jretche endeavor to offer the passengers on board a pleasant journey. The selected top team also includes the bartenders Nieres and Veries. Security officer Noppeney takes care of security. In the Sansi Bar, a spectacular entertainment program is offered by the crew members and dedicated carnival stars. So the best atmosphere is guaranteed.

Performing at the five Fastelovvend events of the Stadtpuppenbühne were Öcher Prinz Lukas I, the Öcher Stallburschen, the singing Figaro Hans Montag, Richterich Princess Anne I, the newly proclaimed Lichtenbuscher Dreigestirn, the KK Oecher Storm, Hubert Aretz, Dr. Kurt Christ, Uwe Barthel, Jenny Oschmann, the "Night Wiever", "Capella A Capella", Geli Kutsch and "Tinny und Finni".
