Explosive ordnance found in Franzstraße:
Hackländerstraße citizen service closed
Due to the bomb discovery in Franzstraße and the associated evacuation, the citizens' office at the Bahnhofplatz location will be closed today, Thursday, January 22.
Unfortunately, the dates for handovers have to be canceled as they are location-dependent. However, there are sufficient appointment capacities available for the subsequent days.
All other appointments can be made at the Katschhof location. As this location is considerably smaller, waiting times must be expected, especially in the morning. The City of Aachen asks that you bring your appointment confirmation with you. The City of Aachen also asks those affected for their understanding.
The city of Aachen is asking residents who have questions about the evacuation to visit www.aachen.de or the city's social media channels to find out about the current status. It is also possible to call the Call Aachen hotline on 0241 510051. As Call Aachen is also affected by the evacuation and does not have equivalent equipment at the alternative location, there may be longer waiting times. The City of Aachen asks callers to be patient.
