Local politics in the week from January 12 to 18
Next week, Aachen's local politics will enter the year 2026. Three meetings are on the calendar. The initially planned meetings of the Aachen-Richterich district council and the mobility committee will not take place.
Tuesday, January 13
The first meeting will take place at 5 p.m. in meeting room 170 of the Marschiertor administration building on Lagerhausstraße . Three of the topics: the business plan for 2026, a status report on the expansion of photovoltaics on municipal roofs and a status report on the construction progress at the Maria Montessori School.
Wednesday, January 14
The Aachen-Mitte district council will be meeting in the council chamber of Aachen Town Hall from 5 pm. Among other things, it will discuss ways to make the Amsterdamer Ring/Hanbrucher Straße/Kronenberg intersection safer, the selection of family centers and parent cafés and the Liebigstraße/Metzgerstraße development plan.
The Committee for Labor, Economy, Science and Regional Development will meet at the same time from 5 p.m. in the meeting room of Haus Löwenstein am Markt. The agenda includes "News from the statistics", an analysis of the location and potential of Eilendorf-Süd and an application to establish a trainee organization.
