Soers Sports Park: "Hubert-Wienen-Straße" development plan on display from March 2
The Soers sports park is to become a "sports park for all", in which different types of sport, both elite and popular, will find a home. The central building block is the so-called Lupe Nord. A multifunctional sports hall is to be built on the site, where the old police headquarters will be demolished in the course of this year, as well as parking infrastructure ("Mobility Hub") and a new indoor riding arena and a para and youth stadium by the ALRV. The city of Aachen is now starting the early public participation process for this area.
The development plan no. 1027 "Sportpark Soers / Hubert-Wienen-Straße" will be on display from Monday, March 2 to Friday, March 27. The documents can be accessed online via the central internet portal of the state of NRW beteiligung.aachen.de and beteiligung.nrw.de as well as at www.aachen.de/bauleitplanung. The development plan is also on public display in the foyer of the Aachen-Laurensberg district office, Rathausstraße 12, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The city is also offering a public information event on Tuesday, March 17, 6 to 8 p.m., in the auditorium of the Alkuin School, Alkuinstraße 40.
