There isn’t just one best way to get to the equestrian stadium at Aachen’s Soers—and, of course, later on to the Aachen World Championship Special in Aachen’s Old Town. There are many. Here’s an overview of a few useful tips and pieces of information.

Bus
: Tickets to the FEI World Championships in Aachen also serve as bus tickets on the respective day of the event. This includes the shuttle buses. The buses run frequently—at least every 15 minutes—and quickly transport equestrian fans from the city center to the competition grounds and back in about ten minutes. That means you can comfortably take the bus to the Soers in the morning, to a concert in the city center in the evening, and then to your hotel, the train station, or back to the parking lot near the equestrian stadium. It’s all free, available all day, and included with your admission ticket.

Park & Ride
: With a P+R ticket for five euros, up to five people can use public transportation and the P+R parking lots at Westfriedhof, Waldfriedhof, and Jülicher Straße. This means the whole family or a group of friends can ride along.

Kiss & Ride
: You can stop for up to ten minutes directly across from the stables at Hubert-Wienen-Straße 6, 52070 Aachen, to let passengers get in and out. It’s ideal for dropping off friends or family at the equestrian stadium.

Parking
: Special paid parking spaces will be set up for visitors on the World Cup grounds and in the surrounding area; these can be reserved in advance through APAG at www.apag.de/event-parken. Information on the capacity of parking garages in the city is available online via the City of Aachen’s mobility dashboard: https://verkehr.aachen.de

Bike Sharing: If you want to get around by bike, you don’t need to bring your own: Simply book an e-bike through the movA app or the Euregiobike app and return it to the nearest station at your destination—whether at the stadium, your hotel, the train station, or downtown around the Markt and Katschhof.

Bicycle Parking
: It’s even easier if you have your own bike: Bike racks are available in the city center and at the World Cup venue. In addition, portable bike racks will be set up; these will have a blue sign indicating the time limit.

Walking and
Biking Trails: Aachen is and always will be a city where everything is within easy reach—it’s just a pleasant summer stroll from the latest show jumping competition to an evening concert in the market square. There are numerous walking and biking routes to the World Cup venue and back into the city. The routes are mapped in the Komoot app and available online for free.

E-Scooters: You can get there and back quickly
on an e-scooter. There are four providers in Aachen: Dott, RideMovi, Ryde, and VOI. All of them are offering discounts and promotions in conjunction with the World Equestrian Games. Important: Please be sure to keep sidewalks clear and park the scooters only in the spots designated in the apps.

Rickshaw
: People with limited mobility can use a rickshaw to reach their destination during the World Equestrian Games. Please register at least one week before your ride by emailing flaniermobil@caritas-aachen.de. This service is free of charge.

Aachen’s Cycling Summer in the Spirit of the World Equestrian Games
: For those who still can’t get enough of horses, there’s the chance to explore the Pferdelandpark by bike: The 32nd Aachen Cycling Summer is entirely dedicated to the World Equestrian Games. A signposted, approximately 22-kilometer-long loop route begins at the equestrian stadium in Soers and leads from there into the Pferdelandpark between Aachen, Herzogenrath, and Kerkrade. This cross-border landscape park covers an area of 2,000 hectares and includes the following areas: Lousberg, Soers, Hasenwalder Feld, and Horbacher Börde.
