Road rehabilitation Nirmer Weg

Aachener Stadtbetrieb is having the road surface of Nirmer Weg repaired as part of the major asphalt works. This affects the area from house number 20 to around 50 meters before the crossing over the Rödgerbach. The work will be carried out from Monday to Thursday, September 15 to 18. It is necessary for the affected area to be completely closed off; access to the courtyard and garages will be restricted during the construction period. The sidewalks will remain free, cyclists are asked to push their bicycles along the sidewalk.

From 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, until 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, no vehicle traffic can be permitted in the entire area, as the area has been cleared.

is sprayed on and then asphalted. It is strongly recommended not to walk or drive on the sprayed road surface, as there is a risk of permanently staining clothing. The same applies to driving on it with vehicles.

Parking on the sidewalks is prohibited during the entire construction period. The work may cause noise and dirt nuisance. Appropriate protective measures will be taken to keep this to a minimum. Local residents and businesses have been informed about the work in advance by the municipal authority and the construction company carrying out the work.

In view of the poor condition of the road surface, it is imperative that the asphalt is repaired at this point in time and cannot be postponed. This is the only way to guarantee that road safety is maintained for all road users on Nirmer Weg.
