Amsterdamer Ring will be closed for a few days
From October 30, the North Rhine-Westphalia road construction authority will be carrying out urgently needed renovation work at the Amsterdamer Ring, Kronenberg and Hanbrucher Straße intersection in Aachen.
The entire intersection is expected to be fully closed until Tuesday, November 4, to repair damaged areas in the road surface.
Traffic on the Amsterdamer Ring (L 212) will be diverted via the federal roads B 1 (Vaalser Straße/An der Schanz) and B 264 (Lütticher Straße). Drivers are requested to take a wide detour around the Amsterdamer Ring.
No-stopping zones will be set up on Kronenberg Street in the area of the "Aachen, Am Friedrich" public transport stop as a turning loop for scheduled services.
Residents are asked to observe the short-term no stopping signs so that the start of construction on Thursday morning (October 30) is not delayed.
The cost of repairing the damaged area is around 75,000 euros.
