New manhole covers: Neuenhofstraße will be a one-way street for a few days
From October 20, the municipal company will be repairing sagging manhole covers in Neuenhofstraße in the Eilendorf-Süd industrial estate. For this purpose, one side of Neuenhofstraße will have to be closed to traffic. Only out-of-town traffic can be routed past the construction area from the Zieglerstrasse/Sonnenscheinstrasse junction in the direction of Debyestrasse. Neuenhofstrasse will therefore become a one-way street in this area.
During the construction period, inbound traffic will be diverted from Debyestraße via Kellershau-, Kaubenden- and Zieglerstraße to Neuenhofstraße. The detour route will be signposted from Debyestraße.
The entrances and exits to the local stores and companies on Neuenhofstrasse can still be used without restriction. Accessibility for customers, delivery companies and employees is therefore guaranteed at all times. Emergency access is also guaranteed throughout the entire construction period.
The work will take the form of a temporary construction site and is expected to take three working days. For additional safety, the respective construction site will be secured with warning beacons during the work.
The parking spaces on Neuenhofstraße within the full closure will remain largely intact. Parking spaces will only have to be removed at the respective construction site. This ensures that residents and employees in the area will be able to find and use sufficient parking spaces on the roadside.
