Revival: The Öcher Schängche shows "The Sealed Mayor"
The Stadtpuppenbühne Öcher Schängche will be performing the adult play "Der versiegelte Bürgermeister" on Thursday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barockfabrik at Löhergraben 22.
Plot: At the Aachen market, Aunt Hazzor argues with the town policeman Noppeney, who wants to collect back taxes as well as a "protocol". Schängche, who has joined them, finds it difficult to calm down Aunt Hazzor, who is on a roll. The situation comes to a head when the mayor arrives and orders Noppeney to seize the widow Hazzor. He also forbids his daughter Gretchen to have any contact with Schängche, who works for him as a clerk. But the mayor also has private problems.
The wife of the brush maker Knoppholz has set his heart on fire and this leaves him no peace. Schängchen has placed one of Aunt Hazzor's wardrobes in her house to save it from being seized. No sooner has Schängchen left the brush maker's house than the mayor turns up to court his beloved.
Information: Further performances are planned for November 6 and December 4, both at 7.30 pm. Admission starts at 7 pm in each case.
Advance ticket bookings for adult plays are always possible Monday to Thursday before the performance from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. by calling 0241-172016 or at any time by e-mail at puppenbuehne@mail.aachen.de.
