As part of the "Night of the Open Churches" event, the City of Aachen's music school invites you to two concerts. Both will take place on Friday, October 10, at 8 pm.

The a cappella youth choir Promise under the direction of Luc Nelissen performs in the Free Evangelical Church. The young ensemble consists of singers aged between 18 and 31 who want to enliven the church with modern pop songs. In addition to musical professionalism and vocal precision, Promise focuses above all on the joy of singing, open cooperation and enthusiasm for music. The audience can look forward to a lively, varied performance.

The cello ensemble CellENS under the direction of Antje Renner will give a concert in the Annakirche together with the Figuralchor Aachen under the direction of Kirsten Willnat-Blasig. The twelve cellos, consisting of pupils from the music school and adult musicians, will play atmospheric works from Bach to Apocalyptica in four-part arrangements. The selection of vocal music is just as varied: listeners can look forward to expressive compositions from the Renaissance to the modern era, from Palestrina to Piazzola. In keeping with the theme "Come, let's rejoice", the combination of these two ensembles promises a delightful joint concert.

Admission to both concerts is free. Donations are welcome.
