RWTH Late Night at OecherLab: The future on prescription - impulses from Aachen for the healthcare industry of tomorrow
Health concerns us all - but how we treat, care, prevent and heal is changing fundamentally. Digital technologies are opening up new avenues: from video consultations to AI diagnostic tools, from apps on prescription to networked care assistance systems. Aachen is one of the leading locations in this development.
With the new exhibition "Future on Prescription", the OecherLab is launching its next future space and showing how research, companies and healthcare stakeholders in the Aachen region are shaping the digital transformation of the healthcare system.
The RWTH Late Night in the OecherLab on Tuesday, December 2, at 8 p.m. will be the festive kick-off - a cooperation with RWTHextern with impressive guests, live music, mulled wine and exciting insights.
Moderator Oscar Malinowski, poetry slammer from Aachen and host of the RWTH Late Night, talks to guests from science, business and politics about the future of the healthcare industry:
- Bernd Valentin, CEO of umlaut telehealthcare GmbH, reports on the tele-emergency doctor who is setting standards nationwide from Aachen.
- Prof. Dr. Carina Benstöm, Professor of Evidence-Based Health Research and Academic Director of the Innovation Center Digital Medicine (IZDM) at the University Hospital Aachen, talks about new forms of care through telemedicine and digital health.
- And the new Lord Mayor of the City of Aachen, Dr. Michael Ziemons, former Head of the Health and Innovation Department, will also be making a flying visit - with a particular focus on location development and the healthcare industry.
