Aachen: Mobility dashboard has been revised

Since the beginning of 2022, the city of Aachen has been offering an innovative digital platform with its mobility dashboard. It provides a comprehensive overview of important traffic data for the city. The website bundles real-time information on the utilization of parking garages, electric charging stations and the current traffic situation. The mobility dashboard also provides information on roadworks in Aachen and current public transport timetables. The portal provides Aachen residents with a quick and easy overview of the traffic situation in the city.

Since November 12, the city has been presenting its mobility dashboard in a new design and with new technology. The technical adjustments enable the city to integrate and display traffic data even faster. The new look and enhanced functions make the dashboard an even more powerful tool for external presentation and internal administrative analysis.

The data is presented in a more comprehensible way and makes various traffic information accessible to everyone. Retailers and companies can also integrate individual applications of the dashboard (widgets) on their own websites. The platform is being continuously developed.

New data sources are to be gradually integrated into the portal. Topic-specific summaries, such as "By car" or "On foot", allow information to be presented in a concentrated and clear manner.

With the new mobility dashboard, the city of Aachen will also be making even more mobility data available in the open data portal in future. This starts with the data from the bicycle counting points, which are now publicly accessible.
