At its meeting on Tuesday, May 20, the City of Aachen's sports committee unanimously approved the beach volleyball tournament at Katschhof. The main event will take place on Wednesday, June 25.

The tournament will be played in the "Kaiser/in of the Court" format (in both genders). A match between two junior teams is also planned. The entire event will be accompanied by music and a moderator. Food and drinks will also be available on the Katschhof.

The beach volleyball court will be set up on the Katschhof on Monday, June 23. One day later on Tuesday, June 24, there will be training opportunities for the participating teams before the men's and women's tournament is held on June 25 from 4 pm. On June 26, the course will be transformed into the established and popular Archimedean Sandpit.

The estimated total cost is 18,000 euros. The event is not a burden on the municipal budget, as the costs are covered exclusively by sponsorship.
