Continuously building the city: Under this heading, the City of Aachen's Design Advisory Board's dialog series "stadt.gestalten - Impulse für Aachen" is entering its next round. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 5.30 pm, in the space in the Ludwig Forum, Jülicher Straße 97-109. The number of visitors is limited. Therefore, please register at gestaltungsbeirat@mail.aachen.de.

Yasemin Utku invites you to the fifth event in the series. She has been a member of the Design Advisory Board since 2021 and Chairwoman since 2025. As a professor of urban design and planning practice and owner of the planning office STADTGUUT, she is very familiar with planning processes and their implementation. Her credo: Continuously building the city. Together with Johannes Ernst from steidle Architekten, Munich and Tine Vandepaar, architect in the team of the Stadtbouwmeester of the City of Brussels, we will discuss which strategies and instruments are used in urban development in other cities. What can we in Aachen learn from this?

Speakers:
Introduction: Yasemin Utku (owner STADTGUUT, Bochum)

Impulses from Brussels: Tine Vandepaar (architect in the team of the Stadtbouwmeester of the City of Brussels)

Creative contradictions: Johannes Ernst (owner steidle architekten, Munich)
