„Come Together Again“ in Aachen und Mönchengladbach

On Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, around 60 pupils from the municipal music schools in Aachen and Mönchengladbach will be coming together again after almost ten years for joint concerts under the motto "Come Together Again". The large plucked string orchestra with guitars, harps and mandolins will perform works such as "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye and "Orinoco Flow" by Enya. The program is interwoven with chamber music contributions from a guitar duo to a harp quartet to mixed instrumentations of guitars with mandolins or vocals. An inclusive band provides the right momentum. The "Ensemble del Pesciolino" has been invited as a special guest.

The concerts are organized by the "Plucked Instruments" departments of the Municipal Music Schools of Aachen and Mönchengladbach in cooperation with speGTRa - special guitar events e.V.. Peter Reiser (Aachen) and Joachim Küppers (Mönchengladbach) will lead through the respective programs.

The concerts will begin on Saturday, April 5, at 5 pm in the Piazza in the Depot Talstraße and on Sunday, April 6, at 4 pm in the Mönchengladbach Music School, Lüpertzender Straße 83.

Admission is free; donations for the music schools' support associations are very welcome.
