Rombachstraße: City reviews the parking situation on two days in March

The establishment of the Brand priority cycle route on Rombachstraße near the sports field and the swimming pool will change the parking situation in individual sections of Rombachstraße. There will be no more parking spaces on the street between Heussstrasse and Wolferskaul. The sports clubs in the area had responded to this notice and reported a need for more parking spaces.

With this in mind, the city has commissioned a feasibility study to examine the construction of a so-called Mobility Hub. A mobility hub is a building in which parking and sharing services are linked together. A good data basis is required for the study.

The city will therefore have motor vehicles parked in parking lots on Rombachstrasse and in sections of the adjacent residential streets counted on two selected days in March 2025. The license plates of the vehicles will be recorded. The count will take place at different times on the following days:

  • Saturday, March 22, Matchday
  • Thursday, March 27, Weekday

All motor vehicles parked on the following roads or sections of them are registered: Rombachstraße, Wolferskaul, An der Schmit, Franz-Wallraff-Straße, Heussstraße, Im Brander Feld, Im Wiesengrund, Kirchheidstraße, Ringstraße, Röhrigstraße, Schagenstraße, Wilhelm-Grasmehr-Straße and Wilhelm-Ziemons-Straße.

Personal data is processed in accordance with Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
