Living library in the Talstraße depot
As part of the International Weeks against Racism, the "Living Library" in the Depot on Talstraße will open its doors on Wednesday, March 19, at 7 pm. The Aachen City Library, the Municipal Integration Centre, the Depot and the "Wegweiser in der Region Aachen" program are jointly inviting people to the event.
Visitors can get to know "living books" - people who share their personal stories, experiences and life journeys. Instead of paper books, real people will be on loan for exciting conversations. Guests can talk to people and find out, among other things: How does it feel to be asexual? What motivates people to be ordained as deacons in the church today? Who is campaigning for climate protection to be implemented in Aachen and why?
The Living Library offers the opportunity to break down prejudices, exchange ideas and discover new perspectives. The themes of the living books are: Bridge between worlds, Asexuality, Grandpa for Future, Addiction in the family, Inclusive living in Aachen, International understanding, Breaking faith and Querbeet Aachen.
Admission is free, registration is required. Further information and registration at www.vhs-aachen.de/kurz/iwgr.
