Haaren district library: Anniversary and reopening
50 years of the Haaren district library in Welsche Mühle and the reopening after extensive renovation: this is something to celebrate! Therefore, the district library cordially invites all interested parties to the anniversary and reopening on Saturday, June 28, at Mühlenstraße 19.
The Haaren district library has been located in the Welsche Mühle since June 23, 1975 and has since shaped cultural life in Haaren as a place of education, exchange and encounters. Following renovation, the historic rooms now shine in new splendor and offer a better quality of stay for children, young people and adults from Haaren and Verlautenheide.
A colorful program of events
The anniversary and reopening will be celebrated on Saturday with an open day from 1 to 5 pm. After an opening speech by Head of Cultural Affairs Heinrich Brötz, guests can look forward to the inauguration of the newly renovated rooms, a creative program for children, an author reading for the little ones with Jörg Hilbert and "Ritter Rost" at 3 pm and a coffee mobile.
The literary finale of the day will be a reading with the author Anna-Maria Caspari, who will be reading from her work "Schlehengrund" from 6 to 7.30 pm.
Admission is free, registration is not required.
