What does the future of the Aachen-Haaren district look like? What issues are of concern to local young people? On Saturday, June 28, the Aachen-Haaren district office invites you to the first district youth conference. All young people between the ages of 12 and 29 from the district are invited - a forum for everyone who wants to have a say, help shape and actively develop their district. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the "Regenbogen" children's and youth center, Germanusstraße 22.

In addition to information stands from local associations, young people have the opportunity to contribute their own ideas, wishes and suggestions for a shared future in Haaren. Specific project ideas will be developed in various workshops. Participants will also decide what up to 2,500 euros from the "Zukunft Haaren" disposition fund should be used for.

Mayor Sibylle Keupen emphasizes the importance of the district youth conference in Aachen-Haaren: "The district youth conference is a place where ideas meet open ears. Young people contribute their perspectives here. That is democracy in action." District Mayor Daniel Hecker also emphasizes the role of young people: "Young people are shaping the future of Haaren and Verlautenheide with their ideas - their involvement is necessary and expressly welcome."

A special highlight is the open dialog with political representatives from the district, where young people can discuss their concerns in person with the decision-makers.
