Open-air theater in Kennedypark
Kennedypark will be transformed into the setting for an unforgettable day of theater with DAS DA Theater on Saturday, July 5, from 1 p.m., promising a great experience for the whole family. Three exciting plays invite you to immerse yourself in very different worlds:
2.30 pm: "The NEINhorn" (from 3 years)
The NEINhorn breaks out of his cotton candy world and soon meets companions along the way who are just as special. Witty, cheeky and with lots of music by Christoph Eisenburger, Marc-Uwe Kling's lively story tells of discovering one's own needs, desires and self as a child. Because saying no is also important, as is living out one's own imagination.
4.30 p.m.: "Peter Pan" (from 6 years)
Frank Rommerskirchen's family play has a lot to offer. A boy who can fly and fights for children: eleven-year-old Peter Pantoleit wants to be just such a hero. Together with his friends, he transforms the school auditorium into Neverland to make the adults aware of his friend Lilly's problems. The modern production with motifs by J.M. Barrie and music by Christoph Eisenburger brings the classic into the present, shows the value of solidarity and proves that it is worth fighting for justice.
8 p.m.: "The Heart of a Boxer" (from 14 years)
In Lutz Hübner's comedy, two outsiders fight their way back into life: Former prizefighter Leo is serving out his days in an old people's home. His peace and quiet comes to an abrupt end when 16-year-old Jojo turns up. The teenager has to do community service for stealing mopeds from the old people's home. Leo and Jojo initially face each other like opponents in the ring. But eventually a crazy friendship begins that completely changes the lives of the initial opponents.
Before and between the three performances, children will also be able to enjoy free activities such as face painting, a bouncy castle and a carousel. Food and drink stalls will be available for refreshments.
