The city of Aachen has announced that various traffic lights in the city have failed. The cause is still unclear. So far, failures have been detected at the following traffic lights:

• Roermonder Straße/Roder Weg
• Roermonder Straße/Rathausstraße
• Vaalser Straße/Steppenbergallee and Vaalser Straße/Welkenrather Straße
• Pontdriesch/Driescher Gässchen
• Elisenbrunnen fountain
• Theaterstraße/Bahnhofstraße
• Krefelder Straße/Passstraße and Krefelder Straße/Access to the HIT supermarket
• Von-Coels-Straße/Nirmer Straße
• Trierer Strasse/Heussstrasse
• Neuenhofstrasse/Zieglerstrasse

As not all traffic lights in Aachen are connected to the city's traffic computer, the administration asks you to report any broken traffic lights via the traffic light hotline: by telephone on 432-1000 or by e-mail: ampelhotline@mail.aachen.de.

The technicians have been informed, but have a lot to do due to the many outages throughout the entire city region. It may take a few hours before the traffic lights are back in operation. The police have also been informed.
