Eleven new trainees start their careers at the Aachen municipal company

Be part of one of the largest public services teams in the city of Aachen: The eleven new trainees, including one dual student, who started their training at Aachener Stadtbetrieb today, Monday, July 28, now have this opportunity. Marlon Knops, Head of Central Services and Legal Affairs at Stadtbetrieb, emphasized: "Together with 850 colleagues, we ensure that the city of Aachen functions. You will now get a different view of the municipal enterprise and will see us everywhere in the city. From now on, you are part of the team and we are very happy about that."

"You are the future of Aachener Stadtbetrieb." Astrid Pehl, Head of Human Resources, Operational Organization and IT at Aachener Stadtbetrieb, joined the trainers from the various departments in welcoming the new colleagues who are starting their careers as gardeners, road maintenance workers and vehicle mechatronics technicians. Pehl promised: "We offer you numerous development opportunities and support you in a variety of ways."

There was already a lot to get to know and see on the first day: For example, the trainees learned details about the structure of the city administration and municipal operations. In addition to a safety briefing and a tour of the company premises, they also had to get dressed.

Interested parties can now apply for the training positions for 2026: All information and positions are summarized on karriere.aachen.de. Further information can also be found at www.aachener-stadtbetrieb.de.
