New location: The sports vacation games of the sports department

Same fun, new location: For three weeks at the start of the summer vacations, the motto is once again "romp, run, play - have fun", but this summer for the first time in the sports hall of the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium at Stolberger Straße 200. From Monday, July 14, up to and including Friday, August 1, all children aged six to eight are invited to take part in sports and games from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 1 pm.

Participation is free of charge for all children. The program is supervised by three instructors. Registration is not required. However, parents must complete the declaration of consent - which can be found at www.aachen.de/ferienspiele - and give it to the children.

As an additional offer, three different sports clubs will give the children an insight into their respective sports on Wednesdays. This offer also takes place free of charge as part of the sports vacation games between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium.

The following clubs are coming:

  • Wednesday, July 16: Basketball-Gemeinschaft Aachen Grün-Weiß Vaalserquartier e. V.
  • Wednesday, July 23: Dance-Evolution AC e. V.
  • Wednesday, July 30: Aachener Judo Club 1953 e. V.

Sportswear and provisions

The children must come in sportswear suitable for the weather, bring some healthy provisions and sufficient drinks. Only indoor shoes are permitted in the hall.

As the event ends at 1 p.m., it is important that participants are also picked up by their parents at this time if necessary. If a child is allowed to go home alone, this must be stated in the declaration of consent.

Any questions?

Ms. Ptak, telephone 0241 432-5223, or Ms. Schartmann, telephone 0241 432-5226, from the Department of Sport of the City of Aachen are responsible for the organization.
