After a successful launch last year, the "Aachen Shows Commitment" campaign day is entering its second round: on 18 May 2025, Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen is once again inviting Aachen associations, charitable organizations, student initiatives and committed citizens to give an insight into their work and inspire new people to get involved.
Under the motto "Aachen shows commitment", the city park will be transformed into a colorful hidden object of the commitment landscape on this day from 12 noon to 5 pm.

"Last year, the day of action with over 130 participating associations showed how much enthusiasm and positive feedback a joint platform for volunteering and commitment can trigger. Now we want to build on this success and make the event even more colorful, diverse and creative," explains Sibylle Keupen. All Aachen residents who would like to volunteer or find out about volunteering opportunities are cordially invited. "Whether with a stand, a demonstration or a creative hands-on activity - take this opportunity, show your commitment and inspire others with your ideas!" encourages the Lord Mayor.

Around 1,000 associations, organizations, initiatives and groups have already been contacted by email. Interested people can still submit their applications until March 16.
