Concert of the Youth Symphony Orchestra at Theater Aachen

The Aachen Youth Symphony Orchestra invites you to a musical journey on Carnival Saturday, March 1, at 6 pm at Theater Aachen. It starts with the overture to the opera "Titus" by W. A. Mozart, which takes you across the Atlantic from France to Mexico. With the elegant Arlésienne Suite by Georges Bizet and a conga by Arturo Márquez, the young musicians want to accompany the audience into the jolly weekend. The soloist is Aachen horn player Tassilo Wettstein.

The Youth Symphony Orchestra is a cooperation project between the Aachen Music School and the Aachen Symphony Orchestra and sees itself as a meeting place for young classical music enthusiasts in the region who want to perform symphonic repertoire at an advanced level under professional guidance. This year, for the first time, the youth symphony orchestra will be joined by young people from Belgium as part of a European sponsorship program in collaboration with the Eupen Music Academy. This is the first concert under the new musical direction of Alexander Scherf.

Tickets cost 15 euros (concessions 8 euros) and are available at the theater box office, the usual advance booking offices or at www.theateraachen.de.
