Vaalser Straße is closed due to construction work
Regionetz is laying new district heating house connections on Vaalser Straße near the Hammerweg junction at the customer's request. According to current planning, the work will take around five weeks. This section of Vaalser Straße is completely closed to vehicle traffic.
The complete closure of around 80 meters of Vaalser Straße is necessary. This is because the pipes in the road are so centrally located under the carriageway that, due to existing safety regulations, work can only be carried out with a full road closure.
A detour for motorized private and bus traffic is signposted. It leads in both directions via the following roads: An der Schanz, Lütticher Straße and Amsterdamer Ring. Residential and delivery traffic is possible up to the houses with the numbers 111 to 117 and 150 to 166. The parking spaces in the construction site area along the roadway cannot be used during this time. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will pass the roadworks.
