Aachener Stadtbetrieb is having the road surface in Seffenter Weg repaired as part of the major asphalt works. This concerns the area of Seffenter Weg between Mies-van-der-Rohe-Straße and Kastanienweg. The work will be carried out between October 14 and 31. It is necessary for the affected area to be completely closed, and access to the courtyards and garages will be restricted during the construction period. The sidewalks will remain free, cyclists are asked to push their bicycles along the sidewalk.

The area described above will be completely closed on Monday, October 14, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., as the asphalt surface course is being milled off.

This will be followed by preparatory work in sections: From Tuesday, October 15, to Monday, October 21, this will affect the area from Mies-van-der-Rohe Straße to the junction with Ahornstraße. Preparatory work will then be carried out from Monday, October 21 to Tuesday, October 29 in the roadway area between Ahornstraße and the junction with Kastanienweg.

From Tuesday, October 29, 3 p.m. to Thursday, October 31, 4 p.m., the asphalt surface will be laid. For this reason, no vehicle traffic can be permitted in the area of Seffenter Weg between Mies-van-der-Rohe-Straße and Kastanienweg. The courtyard and garage entrances are also inaccessible during this period.

During the entire construction period, Aseag bus services will use the detour route Mies-von-der-Rohe-Straße, Halifaxstraße, Pariser Ring and Seffenter Weg. This means that the stops in Ahornstraße will be omitted.

It is strongly recommended not to walk on the sprayed road surface, as there is a risk of permanently staining clothing. The same applies to driving vehicles. Parking on the sidewalks is prohibited during the entire construction period. The work may cause noise and dirt nuisance. Appropriate protective measures will be taken to keep this to a minimum.

In view of the poor condition of the road surface, asphalt repair at this point in time is absolutely essential and cannot be postponed. This is the only way to guarantee that road safety is maintained for all road users on Seffenter Weg.
