Fourth fire station: City presents results of the planning competition
The city of Aachen is planning to build a "fourth fire and rescue station" in the Burtscheid district. After intensive consultations, politicians decided on the location between Siegelallee and Robert-Schuman-Straße in order to improve the provision of services to citizens in the south-western areas of the city in particular and thus meet the requirements of the fire protection requirement plan.
Due to the challenging planning task and the sensitive framework conditions at the Siegel site, the planning committee of the city of Aachen commissioned the administration to hold a planning competition for the "New fire and rescue station - Robert Schumann-Straße / Siegelallee" construction project. This has taken place over the past few months. The jury recently selected the winners. The city is now exhibiting the results of the competition to the public from Tuesday, October 8, to Saturday, October 12, in the city library at Couvenstraße 15 (in the foyer and on the third floor). Opening hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10 am to 6 pm, Thursdays 12 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm. The results will also be published on the City of Aachen's homepage shortly. Further information on the planning project is already available there.
